| Argonopedia and Web-Downloaders/Accelerators
Before you use the Argonopedia, make sure that you don't have a web accelerator activated!
Note: If you are unsure, go straight to the forum to ask questions. The forum is a not covered by the auto-ban feature, and you can ask questions about your setup in safety. - Brianetta
Web accelerators work by pre-downloading web pages on the site you're visiting. Doing that here on the Argonopedia will pretty much guarantee that you get your IP barred. You're not the target, but the short-term effect on the server is indistinguishable.
We're sorry to have had to implement such drastic measures, but there have been enough warnings on this news page, and some people aren't dissuaded at all - they get their copy of HTTrack or Teleport Pro, and tell it to download this site.
It's possible to cross the download threshold by clicking or reloading the pages really fast, but you will be warned long in advance that you need to slow down. If you have an accelerator running, you may never see the warning.
The number of people who have tried to download the site has decreased, and it doesnt matter how slow you go, you will be found out and banned. We do not allow downloading of the site using web-downloaders or accelerators.

| Site Issues
Sometime over the last week something has happened to the \'pedia. While I am not sure what has happened and caused the site to crash I am investigating and looking.
ALSO new users will not have their registrations cleared until I have the forum software updated and the look of the argonopedia finished which wont be any time soon.
So the technical work from last year is on going.

| Argonopedia Update (November 2008)
As the Argonopedia is currently going through a minor update, i would like to remind you all that the site may go down for a short time.
If this happens, please understand that I am working on it and it will come back online shortly...
This update is a minor update of the code that the argonopedia uses, and an attempt to streamline the number of pages we have.

| X³: Terran Conflict released
OK, so we are a few days late, but better late than never. X³: Terran Conflict has now been released! There is also a 1.2 patch available which adds some new features as well as fixing a few minor problems.

| NEW USER ACCOUNTS
I am going to disable new accounts for the moment, until I can update the forum base code and make it safe.
The Argonopedia Project is NOT DEAD - and I hope to return to it later in the year and get things moving again.
